No combine harvester matches the capacity of the New Holland CR models. The amounts of crop processed by the CR combines are just huge. The pure rotary breed accepts no compromises. Complete threshing and separation are achieved by two rotors running in opposite directions and two huge concaves.

The gentle multipass action of the pure rotor technology produces a superior grain and straw quality in unmatched capacities.

Maximising the CR’s enormous potential is made possible thanks to the innovative features of the new models. Modern, high horsepower engines, with advanced technology, have high fuel efficiency and offer sustained power supply. They play an important role in further optimising the potential of the new CR models.

The lay-out of the operator’s working place, the largest cab on any combine, is based on extensive research and user feedback and meets all the requirements of the professional operator of New Holland’s flagship rotary combine.

Increasing operator efficiency and improving their contribution to all aspects of the harvesting operation, the IntelliView™ ll monitor with its wide colour screen and rotary encoder navigation provides all relevant information and optimises operator interaction in a very direct way.

Automatic guidance systems that take over the steering function increase the operator’s alertness and allow more concentration on the harvesting functions for an even higher quality job and increased daily output.

Both the CR9080 and the CR9060 are pure rotary breed. The complete threshing and separation is handled by the unique Twin Rotor™ concept. The longitudinal rotors have a length of 2.64m. On the CR9080 they have a diameter of 0.56m and on the CR9060 they have a diameter of 0.43m.

Modern Iveco Cursor engines, with direct unitized injection on the CR9080 and common rail injection on the CR9060 provide outputs of 317kW [431hp(CV)] and 260kW [354hp(CV)], at 2100rpm rated speed. Maximum power is reached at 2000rpm for both models and is as high as 337kW [458hp(CV)] on the CR9080 and 290kW [394hp(CV)] on the CR9060.

High levels of grain handling efficiency are virtually guaranteed by grain tanks with capacities of 10500 and 9000 litres.

The CR new models are built in this high performance manufacturing facility, by dedicated people, who know what total customer satisfaction means, both in terms of harvesting performance and on-the-job reliability.

Extreme threshing efficiency and huge kernel separation are the major characteristics of the exclusive Twin Rotor™ technology found in the New Holland CR combine.

As the crop enters smoothly between the rotors and the large concaves, spirally mounted rasp bars rub the grains out of any variety without restriction. A high degree of “grain on grain” rubbing adds to the threshing and separation capacity while retaining maximum grain quality.

The rasp bars and the staggered slats, together with spiral fins on the top of the rotor cage move the crop rearwards while offering repeated opportunities for all the kernels to pass through the massive concaves. The crop flow through the CR is straightforward and gives excellent straw quality.

The CR concaves are huge and offer continuous separation possibilities. Repeated agitation of the crop by the segmented, staggered and spirally mounted rasp bars and separation slats boosts the separation through the concaves and offers uninterrupted crop flow. Important separation action is generated by the high centrifugal force created by the unique Twin Rotor™ system.

The discharge beater at the end of the rotors helps ensure positive straw evacuation while the concave underneath allows the separation of any remaining kernels.

The unobstructed crop-flow generated by the longitudinal rotors is the key factor of the unrivalled CR throughput. By dividing the crop into halves, the Twin Rotor™ concept spreads the crop over the two rotor surfaces. An enormous active working space is available allowing an unequalled crop intake.

The in-line crop flow is gentle on grain and straw. Undamaged grain is the result of the gentle rubbing action.

The large concave area provides plenty of time and space for threshing and separation. The smooth kernel treatment from the multipass action of the staggered rasp bars and spirally mounted slats, and of the centrifugal force, reduces the need for aggressive rubbing. As a result, grain kernels are intact. That is why crop breeders confirm that the germination percentage of grain harvested by a CR combine is exceptionally high. No broken kernels.

Even at high outputs, the high quality straw produced by CR combines is ideal for baling. Reduced straw breakage results in less short straw on the sieves, increasing cleaning efficiency.

Suiting the requirements of the commodity market
Excellent straw quality, as a result of the in-line crop flow and the gentle crop treatment, means less short straw on the sieves and higher cleaning efficiency.

The CR cleaning shoe produces a perfect sample in any variety of crop thanks to the large and efficient cleaning area. The double acting shoe gives the precise throwing stroke to each sieve for correct treatment.

Remote sieve adjustment from the cab is standard equipment and for increased productivity in specific crops, specialist and round-hole sieves are available.

With a total sieve area under wind-control of 6.54m² on the CR9080 and 5.40m² on the CR9060, the cleaning shoe can handle the large grain volumes produced by the highly productive threshing and separation system.

Plenty of air is drawn from both sides and from the top of the fan housing while two outlets ensure an even wind pattern through the sieves.

For optimum blowing effect in light seeds the powerful six-blade fan can be fitted with a low-speed drive option.

An important positive element in the CR cleaning module is the pre-sieve, fitted between grain pan and upper sieve.

It provides an extra section of wind-controlled sieve area but more importantly, it creates an additional air blast through the grain as it falls onto the upper sieve. At this stage a lot of chaff and short straw is taken out of the grain even before the main cleaning is started, while an important portion of the grain is directed to the lower sieve. This greatly optimises the upper sieve efficiency.
