Linkage mounted double row disc based stubble cultivator

The Lemken Rubin 9 rotating disc cultivator gives an intensive mixing of soil and plant material, even under the most difficult conditions and also where working depth is minimal – between 5cm and 10cm. Contrary to fixed cultivating elements, the Rubin 9's rotating discs offer blockage-free work, even where there are large amounts of organic material.

THE WORKING METHOD:

Two rows of indented concave discs DIA 610mm, 6mm thickness and 25cm distance, offer an intensive incorporation of soil and plant material.

The bite of the discs into the soil through their 20O angled positioning with 15O cutting angle leads to very good incorporation results even with consolidated ground conditions.

The good incorporation results from a strong vertical soil movement. All discs are individually mounted on bearings for consistent depth maintenance.

The second row of discs is staggered behind the first, giving a distance between cultivating points of 12.5cm. This ensures a consistent and complete soil treatment across the working width. The additional outer discs prevent ridges forming between working passes.

The bearing of the concave discs:

Each disc is fixed at the frame with a leg and a tensile suspension element, thus always allowing an optimal intensity of work even where difficulties such as stones crop-up. Additionally, tractor and implement are protected.

Two rebound harrows, which can be adjusted in depth and inclination, are mounted behind the discs and control the placement of the soil flow.

The disc gangs, with only 1.07m between them, result in a short and compact design with an advantageous centre of gravity. The open frame design with large clearances guarantees blockage-free operation even with high amounts of plant material.

The exact depth control is enabled by a variety of following rollers as an option from the wide range available. Support wheels are not necessary.
