Built to last the distance, inlet and outlet fittings can be cast in to tanks to your specifications.

Site Preparation
Flat Site Foundation
Sites must be well drained and have firm foundation built up
of 25mm screened gravel to a thickness of 100mm. The foundation material must be evenly spread over an area that extends beyond the tank base. This base material must be completely retained within the site area and protected against erosion.

Sloping Site Foundations
On sloping sites the full width of the tank must be landed on the excavated ground and not the backfill. The foundation material must be placed as stipulated for a flat site.

Tank Burial
Standard water tanks are not suitable for burial but specially
designed underground tanks are available. Backfilling material
must be fine and free running without rocks or lumps. The material must be placed at an even height around the tank wall. Soil only may be placed over the tank roof to a maximum thickness of 200mm.

Placing on Stands
If placing on a metal stand pack between the tank base and the stand with treated wooden packers. If necessary vary the thickness of the packers to ensure there are no pressure points. If placing on a concrete stand pack with fine graded sand or plaster mix.

Lifting
A spreader bar suitable for the weight being lifted must be used when lifting all sizes of tanks.
