The SCHERER H.D. PROCESSOR will interchange between all of the CLAAS® 800 models and the workhorse 900. For 2010 Scherer has added two models to the HD lineup. The HD-A (air) will come with Scherer’s exclusive Pneumatic Belt Tensioning System and the HD-AM (air & monitoring) will also include the Sentry Monitoring System.
All 2010 models come standard with chromed rollers (larger in diameter and 2 ½” longer than the OEM rollers), oil lubricated bearings, and the Lincoln Quicklub® system. There are no steps, shoulders, holes, or keyways machined in the roll shafts for greater strength. Roll components are rigid mounted so there are no rubber mounts to wear out and fail. Additionally the HD has the ability to handle ALL crop lengths and process it as fine as desired.

All frame components are either plated or powder coated to resist the harsh acidic conditions of corn silage. Designed with simplicity and ease of maintenance in mind, the Scherer H.D. Processor has the ability to hinge open so you can lift the bearings and rollers directly out of the frame. The entire processor weighs about 200 lbs more than the OEM model, making it a very rugged piece of equipment.

Scherer Sentry™ Monitoring System
This system monitors bearing temperatures along with oiler operation. The operator has peace of mind that the processor is operating properly without leaving the cab. In 2010 the monitor gave operators the information they needed to maintain their processor before a breakdown occurred.

Pneumatic Belt Tensioning System
Scherer Design exclusively offers the Pneumatic Belt Tensioning System. Metered air pressure ensures absolute power transfer to the processor. Immediate and automatic belt compensation gives you better performance and extended belt life.
