About Agrecovery - Rural Recycling Programme
The Agrecovery Rural Recycling Programme provides New Zealand's primary sector with responsible and sustainable systems for the recovery of 'on farm' plastics and the disposal of unwanted chemicals.
Agrecovery currently provides five nationwide programmes:
CONTAINERS: recycling of plastic agrichemical and animal health containers.
DRUMS: on-farm collection of used plastic or steel drums from 61-1000L
WRAP/FILM: recycling of silage wrap and pit covers (see our products listed on this website)
NET: recycling of crop protection net
CHEMICALS: disposal of unwanted and expired chemicals

Agrecovery is a model product stewardship programme supported by a large number of brand owners and primary industry stakeholders. The Foundation that governs Agrecovery has trustees who represent Federated Farmers, Horticulture New Zealand, Fonterra, Agcarm and Environment Waikato for local government.
Safety and compliance are important aspects of the Agrecovery programme and we work hard to ensure the safety of all those involved in the programme, particularly in regard to container recycling and chemical recovery. In line with this the Agrecovery programme is accredited to the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
Agrecovery is also affiliated with Crop Life International, an international organisation representing crop protection companies worldwide, and is consistent with international best practice.
