About Bowden Environmental
Bowden Consulting was first established in 1996 by Michael Bowden. This changed in April 2000 when Maureen Toland who had been working for the business since 1998 became a Direcor when Bowden Consultancy Limited was formed.

The company was set up initially to assist individuals and businesses that required specialist expertise in water resources engineering involving hydrology, hydraulics and water resource systems including flood control and drainage.

In 2002 Bowden Consultancy Limited started trading under the name Bowden Environmental. The new name better reflected the focus of the organisation and started a new era for the company.

Since then the company has expanded its operations and services which relate to all aspects of groundwater and surface water consents, effluent discharges, management plans and storage, water supply and services, reticulation, resource management, site investigation and ecology.

The company also has a broad experience of council and environmental court hearings, compliance and environmental monitoring programmes and reports.

Significant experience has been gained over the years and is routinely called upon to provide in field data collection and analysis (e.g. aquifer testing, surface water gauging, and water quality testing).

Since the inception of the company Michael Bowden the CEO of Bowden Consultancy Limited has undertaken several high profile Commissioner appointments on behalf of a number of South Island Regional and District Councils.

Resource management consultancies are in high demand. We look forward to bright future as your choice in a Canterbury owned and operated environmental consultancy.
