About Pearson Engineering Ltd
Innovtive thinking...
In 1971 Robbie Pearson built three loaders, adapting the design of a loader he had fabricated on the family farm back in 1964. The move was a winner and the three loaders were quickly snapped up and before long dealers were requesting stocks. In 1974 the now famous Pearson Quick Tach Loader won a merit award at the National Agricultural Fieldays, testament to the well designed and fabricated products developed by Robbie.

And continual development...

Due to the success of the loaders Pearson Engineering outgrew its Firth Street site in 1981 and the operation was moved to Managawhero Road, where it remains to this day. Over the years new loader models have been developed to keep pace with the latest release in tractors. The latest range of tractors can frequently be seen undergoing research and development at the Mangawhero Road site.

Have lead to world class products

All of the Pearson products are machined and manufactured in Matamata by a local team who build to world class standards. The Pearson range of loaders, implements, grader blades and slurry handling equipment have met with outstanding success.

Our people are the key to satisfied customers
Pearson Engineering has sales people based in New Zealand servicing the dealer network. The Matamata base is home to 30 staff including a design engineer (CAD solidworks), fitter turners, fitter welders, fabricators, blasters, painters, parts and hydraulic service department and support staff and it is the commitment of this dedicated team that makes Pearson products so successful. The focus of all our staff is service and satisfaction for the end users of our products.

Towards the future....

In September 2010, Jason Tidmarsh bought the business, and with his background in farming and engineering, is looking to continue the Pearson Engineering ethos of service and quality, made in New Zealand for the New Zealand farmer.
