Whitlands Engineering have been the supplying the domestic, farm and industrial firewood industries in New Zealand for over 10 years. Approximately 20% of our production is sent to NZ, where our brands are synomous with quality, reliabilty and performance. Every year we attend the Fielding Central Disrict (March)and National Mystery Creek (June) field days where you can see the machines in action!
The company is led by CEO and head designer David Burder. Since starting in 1995 the company has grown to employ 16 people - most of which have been with the company for over 10 years!. All the machines are designed by David and built on site at the workshop in Victoria, Australia. With almost 3000 happy customers around Australia and New Zealand, Whitlands Engineering are now recognised as one of Australia’s most successful and professionally managed regional manufacturing companies.
Our wood spitters have been designed, tested, manufactured (and tested again!) and proven to process the toughest Australian hardwood with ease, infact we've never found something we can't split!. All machines feature rugged heavy-duty construction, utilising top quality components - all locally made where possible.
Whitlands Engineering is constantly striving to make their machines safer and 'user friendly'. In conjunction with the NSW Workcover authority, they have developed new hand control systems that meet new operator safety standards for wood splitters. This proactive approach to safety and efficiency is just one of the many reasons why Whitlands Engineering is recognised as Australia's industry leader in the design and manufacture of firewood processing equipment
The range includes the Superaxe, Aussie Chopper and Rex. The Superaxe feature a vertical pivoting blade, perfect for high volumes, quick cycle times and extra grunt - suiting small commerical or farm operations. The Aussie Chopper sits on a similar frame to the Superaxe although the axe SLIDES rather than pivots. This makes it easier for many operators and suits varied timber lengths. The Aussie Chopper also features the double handed control which keeps hands away from the sliding axe. The Aussie Chopper range is user friendly, economical, productive, durable and extremely safe - with that combination you simply can't go wrong! The REX range is suited to bulk and industrial volume processing - easily doing the work of 4 people on chainsaws - with an average output of 140m3 per day!
The Superaxe and Aussie Chopper are avialable in different sizes and engine capacity, so contact us to find out more.
So if you're still splitting your firewood with a hand held axe, think again! Whitlands Engineering has the solution to your needs - whatever they may be! For more information call our toll free (from NZ) number 0800 702 701 or visit our website for more info www.superaxe.co.nz
